Scope to agree
  1. 01Clarify the content before translating
  2. 02From translated text to usable page content
  3. 03Defined review and handover

Start with the source text, purpose and audience: local customers, international residents or visitors to Vietnam. Agree terminology, tone, editing needs and the reviewer before translation. The translated content and work to add it to a website are scoped separately.

AT A GLANCE

Translated copy preserves the source facts and actions, with consistent terminology and clear delivery formats.

Source

Clarify the content before translating

Ask about missing or conflicting information rather than filling it in.

Content inventory

List the pages, menu items, products or documents and their source versions. Identify repeated content, text within images and material without editable files.

Terminology and names

Agree brand, product and place names and key terminology. Cross-check specifications, prices, conditions and contact details against the approved source.

Purpose and tone

Define whether the content introduces, explains or invites an enquiry. Rewriting or adding information is distinguished from translating the supplied source.

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE

Keep the action accurate in translation.

Yêu cầu đặt bàn

Cho chúng tôi biết ngày, giờ và số khách dự kiến. Nhân viên sẽ xác nhận còn bàn trống hay không.

Gửi yêu cầu

Retain the condition that staff must confirm availability.

Three review points

  • The enquiry action does not become a booking confirmation.
  • No opening hours, prices or terms absent from the source are added.
  • Check label length and line breaks when applying the copy to the layout.

Localisation

From translated text to usable page content

Preserve meaning and check labels and conditions within the actual layout.

Copy and short labels

Translate headings, descriptions, navigation, buttons and messages consistently. Short labels need the actual action behind them so they do not create a false expectation.

Dates, numbers and local details

Agree date, number, unit and address presentation for the audience. Do not independently change prices, exchange rates, opening hours or business terms.

Review in the layout

When content entry is included, check truncation, line breaks, links and equivalent pages. Substantial layout or functionality changes are quoted separately.

Review & delivery

Defined review and handover

Agree the translated version, feedback and future content updates.

Review a representative sample

Use a sample to agree wording and terminology. Someone familiar with the business confirms the facts; specialist content needs suitable review criteria.

Translation files and revisions

Deliver the agreed file or content sheet, recording the source version and items awaiting confirmation. The quote defines revisions and source changes after translation.

Separate translation from website setup

Translation is quoted by content volume and editing needs, separately from website language implementation. The quote states whether content entry, equivalent pages and display checks are included in the website package or commissioned separately.

HOW WE WORK

Clarity at every step.

  1. Review the source

Identify the content, languages, purpose and reviewer.

  2. Agree a sample and terminology

Approve wording before translating the full agreed scope.

  3. Translate and cross-check

Check meaning, names, specifications and action labels.

  4. Approve and deliver

Finish the translation and any commissioned on-page checks.

PRICED BY SCOPE

Define the work before the quote.

Send your requirements and sample material so we can define a suitable scope.

What determines the cost

  • Language pair, word or page count, specialist subject matter, editing and website implementation work.
  • Translation is separate from second-language setup. Specialist review and publishing the content on the website are itemised in the quote.

FAQ

Before we begin.

A few useful answers to help define the right scope.

Who reviews the Vietnamese and English content?

Agree a reviewer for each language and someone familiar with your business to confirm facts, prices and terms. Existing translations can also be reviewed or compared with the source as a separate scope. Identify the authoritative version and the depth of review required.

Can this cover menus or catalogues?

These can be included in the agreed content list. Design files, text in images, page count and layout adjustments need review before quoting.

Does the bilingual website surcharge include translation?

No. That surcharge covers implementing the language on the website. You can supply a translation or commission it separately by content volume and review needs.

Can you add the translation to my website?

Yes, when content entry and page checks are included in the agreed scope. We confirm access, pages to update and the approver before publication.

What is needed for a quote?

Share source and target languages, page or word volume, a sample and preferred timing. Sensitive documents are not needed in the initial contact form.
