Story

Choose shots that carry the message

Build a deliberate sequence from the goal and available material.

Purpose and destination

Define what the video presents, its audience and where it will appear. Agree duration, aspect ratio and the intended action before detailed editing.

Select usable material

Review footage, images, audio and copy. Flag blur, shake, missing shots or outdated on-screen text and agree how to handle those limits.

Pacing and shot structure

Shape an opening, explanation and ending suited to the material. Reorder or trim for clarity without inventing testimonials or events.

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE

Four static shots to agree the edit.

A single sample image illustrates four shot layouts and caption placement in a static storyboard.

An illustrative sample created by our team, not a client project.

  1. Opening

Show the object in its setting.

  2. Detail

    Focus on one visible detail.

  3. Composition

Agree the subject position and text area.

  4. Closing

    End with the approved message.

SAMPLE CAPTION

See each detail clearly.

Keep text in a readable area, clear of the subject.

Review before exporting

  • Shot order and the intended message.
  • Names, captions, sound and asset rights.
  • Aspect ratios and agreed versions.

Finishing

Captions, sound and versions

Keep the message understandable in the intended viewing format.

Titles and captions

Agree the transcript, check names and place captions without obscuring important content. Translation into another language needs its own estimate and review.

Appropriate sound

Balance levels and use music or sound with appropriate permissions. Music licences, new voiceover and difficult audio repair are scoped separately.

Portrait, landscape and covers

Agree versions, cropping, covers and file formats. A portrait edit cannot always become a landscape version without layout changes.

Review & delivery

Approve the content before the final export

Distinguish drafts, revisions and the assets included in delivery.

Review cut

Review a draft against the agreed structure, pacing, message and text. A designated approver consolidates feedback to avoid conflicting changes.

Revisions and source changes

The quote records video count, duration, revisions and versions. A new message or major source replacement after approval may need an additional quote.

Exports and usage rights

Deliver the agreed exports; project files are confirmed separately. Footage, image, logo and music rights need to cover the intended publication.

HOW WE WORK

Clarity at every step.

  1. Review material and goals

Agree video count, platforms and source limitations.

  2. Approve the shot structure

Outline the message, key shots and on-screen copy.

  3. Edit and collect feedback

Produce the review cut, captions and sound within scope.

  4. Check and deliver exports

Check text, audio, cropping and file names for each version.

FAQ

Before we begin.

A few useful answers to help define the right scope.

Does this include filming on location?

This page covers editing existing material. New filming requires a separate discussion of the location, brief and feasibility before confirmation.

Can you edit vertical videos for TikTok or Reels?

Vertical edits can be prepared in agreed formats. Posting, account management and advertising are not automatically included in editing.

Can we prepare Vietnamese and English captions?

Captions can be included using a reviewed transcript. Agree the audience, languages and reviewer for each version. Translation and approval are confirmed separately according to content volume.

Is cost based only on the final duration?

No. Source volume and quality, editing work, captions, sound, versions and revisions also matter. These are defined in the quote.

Will I receive editable project files?

You receive video exports in the agreed formats. If you need editable project files, the quote must specify those files, the software and usage rights for fonts, music or other assets.
